Eileen Hawley
Senior Advisor
Eileen is a senior communications professional with experience ranging from space to politics to crisis management.
She spent 15 years immersed in media relations and communications at NASA’s Johnson Space Center, serving as News Chief, Public Affairs Director and ultimately Director of External Relations. She served as the “Voice of Mission Control” for more than 40 Space Shuttle and Space Station missions and has won numerous awards including NASA’s Outstanding Leadership Medal.
Now living in America’s Heartland, Eileen has been a lecturer in crisis communications at the University of Kansas and spent more than three years as Communications Director and Press Secretary for the Kansas Governor. She served as an active member of the state’s Incident Management Team responding to flooding and tornado emergencies across the state.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in media studies and a master’s degree in Strategic Communications and Leadership.
