Valeria Carcano

Director of Finance & Accounting

As Griffin’s Director of Finance & Accounting, Valeria (Val) leads the agency’s annual budgeting and planning process with executive leadership. Her responsibilities include tracking all financial plans, managing cash flow and forecasting, monitoring contracts and ongoing billing, coordinating payroll, performing ongoing analysis and reporting, and ensuring compliance with all federal/state financial reporting and tax requirements. She also participates in key planning pertaining to strategic initiatives and business operation models. Her daily contributions to the team play a critical role in the financial health and vitality of the organization.

Val earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Houston, where she was also a member of Beta Alpha Psi, the honors organization for finance students. She is a member of the Houston CPA Society and regularly volunteers as a basic IRS tax preparer. Other philanthropic service includes work with the Boy Scouts in Galveston, Texas.
